Fig and Olive near Bev Ctr
Clean, fresh, and light. This best describes the menu and the atmosphere at Fig and Olive on Melrose Place. We sat in the lounge and ordered from the bartender who was warm friendly and an easy chat. Appetizer, crostini's , and a sandwich were our afternoon snacks. Of course we started with Olives! A mixed variety of sorts that peeked the appetite. There was a mix of flavors, ranging in from sweet, spicy, mellow, spiced, sour, and not over salty!! thank you very much! We ordered a branzino ceviche, 3 kinds of crostini, which are about 3 bites each, and a chicken salad sandwich. Ofcourse we had a olive oil tasting as well. The light to robust olive oils had strong influences of the hills they were nurtured before entering a bottle. Try it at least once. Its classic california in a word.

Mozza Pizzeria Near Larchmont Village Midtown
Mozza serves authentic pizza done the European Italian way. Light, crispy, fresh, slightly salty dough with a toppings that are unique and unavailable anywhere else in Los Angeles. It's consistent, tasty, and a wait. We enjoy so many things on the menu that are creative, flavorful and possibly more complex than the pizza. Our favorite is Nancy's chopped because it has so many of the tastes all in one dish: spicy, sour, pungent, astringent, sweet, and salty. Its also crunchy.. and one of the most satiating salads on its own. Pane Bianco is fresh sliced toasty bread goes brilliantly with this salad. The eggplant sweet and spicy dappled with pinenuts is absolute AMA from the gods. Scoop it atop the fresh slice of Nancys pane bianco.. its a whole meal and a plethora of tasting pleasure. The meatballs .. meatballs al forno .. is baked and solid. Its safe. Mozza Pizzeria is a must have while doing a tasting tour in Los Angeles. For all pizza connoisseurs a must do once in their life.Mozza Pizza

BLD ...breakfast til 3pm Midtown Beverly
BLD is breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast served til 3pm daily... love that idea! Also, a word to bacon lovers and maple syrup connoisseurs-- this is the place in LA for quality bacon and real maple syrup. Not only that! the service is stellar and the food comes fast, fresh, abundant, nurturing and plentiful. If it doesn't... tell your waiter and the general manager will be interviewing you shortly for a full intake for an immediate correction. Any of the breakfast items are winners. They are all excellent! The chorizo scrambles and the breakfast hash are winter morning rainy day extravaganza must haves. Veggie choices too!

Olio Pizzeria near the Grove Midtown
Olio Pizza !! Wow, really!! Thin crust, crunch, fresh, packed with flavor and quality ingredients that place this authentic design at the top of pizza choice in Los Angeles. We love Olio~ Just cant get enough of it. Best suggestion: eat it fresh and on the spot. It's just the right topping, flavor and ingredient combos. Its also super fast! The way it is in Italy.. Fast! Really.. your pizza can literally bake in 8 minutes. My favorite is the DOP margherita bufffalo mozzarella.
